How Pulse handles your information
Last updated September 26, 2026
The short version. On the waitlist we collect your email and, if you choose, your shade. The survey doesn't ask for your name or email. We never sell your information, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
This notice covers the waitlist and survey at pulseskin.co. The Pulse app isn't released yet. Face scans, and the consent Pulse asks for before any scan, will be covered by separate notices when the app launches.
Who we are
Pulse is built by Pulse Cosmetic Solutions ("Pulse," "we," "us"). For any question about this notice or your information, email jelyn@pulsecosmeticsolutions.com.
What we collect
| Where | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Waitlist | Your email address; your shade (optional); whether you want launch news; the date you joined; your invite code, and the invite code of the person who referred you, if any | To confirm your spot, send your invite link, tell you about launch, and understand how people find Pulse |
| Survey | Your answers (age range, shade, skin concerns, routine, spending range, interest in Pulse, gender and income if you choose to answer); where the survey link came from; a random response number | To decide what Pulse builds first and what it costs. The survey doesn't ask for your name or email, and we don't link answers to waitlist sign-ups. |
| Your browser | Your invite code and whether you've joined, saved only in your own browser | So the page shows your invite link again if you come back. We can't see this, and clearing your browser data removes it. |
If you don't qualify for the survey after the first three questions, nothing you entered is saved.
We don't use advertising trackers or analytics cookies on these pages.
How we use it
- To send your waitlist confirmation and invite link, and, if you asked for them, launch news and invite updates.
- To count how many people each invite link brings in.
- To understand, in aggregate, who is interested in Pulse, including across skin tones, so early access reflects everyone.
- To study survey answers, in aggregate, to shape the product and our plans. When we share survey results, for example with investors, we share totals and percentages, never individual answers.
Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your information, and we don't share it with brands or advertisers. We use a few service providers to run these pages, and they handle your information only to provide their service to us:
- Google stores waitlist sign-ups and survey answers in Google Sheets.
- Brevo sends the waitlist confirmation email, so it receives your email address.
- Netlify hosts these pages. Like any web host, it receives your device's IP address when you visit.
- Google Fonts supplies the page fonts, so your browser contacts Google when a page loads.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist information while the waitlist and early access program run, and delete it when you ask us to or when it's no longer needed for Pulse's launch. Survey answers are kept for research. Because they aren't tied to your name or email, we may not be able to find your individual answers unless you send us your response details.
Your choices
- Stop emails: reply to any Pulse email and say so, or email us.
- See, correct or delete your information: email jelyn@pulsecosmeticsolutions.com from the address you signed up with. We'll respond within 30 days.
- We give these choices to everyone, whatever state you live in. Some state laws give residents additional rights, and we honor those requests too.
Security
Your information is stored with the providers above, behind account access that only Pulse controls, and is transmitted over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect so there is less to protect.
Age
The waitlist is for people 16 and older, and the survey is for people aged 22 to 35. If you believe someone younger has signed up, email us and we'll delete their information.
Changes
If we change this notice, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll email you before it takes effect.
